OPTIMIZING THE CLIENT EXPERIENCE IN A RETAIL STORE
In order to redefine the client experience for this big box store, we had to make sure not to aesthetically fall into the same ruts of the competitors in terms of the decor and signage. Among other things, we had to streamline the store layout, merge the made-to-measure furniture with the brand image and make the various areas of the store easier to understand by a bold and original signage.
MAXIMIZING SPACE TO BETTER PRESENT THE PRODUCTS
In a retail business, every square centimeter counts. This is one of the reasons why the Mode Choc chain of retail stores is a success. Add to this key elements such as lighting and the circulation areas through which shoppers can access small boutique-like zones such as the ones reserved for the Lingerie or the Accessories departments.
A SOBER CONTAINER TO HIGHLIGHT THE CONTENT
We “rediscovered” the concrete slab which was hiding under two layers of rugs and a few centimeters of ceramic. Once repaired, it was polished and sealed to bring out the beauty of the aggregates. For the walls and the wall accents, we opted for birch, a local wood species that offers great color variations. This allowed us to enliven a space which was basically a rather harsh and industrial setup.
