A multifunctional space in celebration of documentary film

For the 2012 edition of the RIDM (Montreal International Documentary Festival), the Norman McLaren Hall in the Cinémathèque Québécoise, was redesigned and dressed by La Firme in collaboration with Baillat Cardell &Fils and XYZ Technologie culturelle.

For the twelve days of the festival, the 240 square meter (2600 sq. ft.) hall was transformed into a multifunctional space that served as screening room, conference hall and ultra-hip bar, depending on the need. But a moving picture is worth a (hundred?) thousand words, so for an overview of how functions were layered onto RIDM that year, click | here |
